Jillette and Julio

On May 1st we had the pleasure of shooting wedding formals for Jillette and Julio. We chose the UW campus as it offered the flexibility of shooting both in/outdoors. Perfect for a place like Seattle where weather is so unpredictable... inconsistent... bland! (i can go on forever....) To our surprise the sun did show up! and in a big way. It was the sunniest day of 2011 thus far. Perfect shooting weather. Great vibe. Awesome couple. Win. Win. Win! Jillette and Julio thank you for letting us be part of your special occasion.

We spent this afternoon at Saltwater State Park (Des Moines, WA) with our good friends, The Bacarro family. It was a windy overcast day (not exactly beach weather!) but we didn't let that get in the way of our shoot. It was also our first time to shoot this location, and am sure we will return sooner rather than later.

Below are just some of the samples from todays shoot.

In 2009 we travelled to australia to attend my brothers wedding, a year later (almost to the day) we returned to attend another wedding. Living in Seattle, means that i miss out on allot of family events back home but this visit was different. Good timing on my best friends part got us back to melbourne to attend a wedding and also celebrate my brothers first wedding anniversary. Pictured below are images from the shoot, which took place on the dining table. Considering the cake was in the freezer for a year, it tasted as good as it looked!

Our First wedding ever! We drove to Spokane from Seattle, it was a long weekend so we decided to go camping on the way home more on that later. The week leading up to the wedding, weather.com wasn't doing the bride and groom any favors, with the chance of rain and precipitation constantly changing from yay to nay! Thankfully for Collin and Stephanie, the weather held for a picture perfect (no pun intended) outdoor wedding.

Thanks Collin and Stephanie for letting us be part of your special day!

It was windy, overcast and the sun was going down! Light stands were swaying in the wind.... it was cold. Our models arrived in their bright colors and gowns, wearing their partner's jackets. The group was large but extremely cooperative. The first frame was fired, a quick look to the back of the camera revealed the the exact effect i was looking for. Bright colors popping against an overcast Seattle skyline backdrop.

Long time friends of ours, Edward and Karla tied the knot last November in Melbourne, Australia. it was an honor to be part of this special day. Also great to get paid time off work! and as a bonus, catch up with family and friends whom i only catch up with via Facebook. The shoot took place in Willamstown, Victoria. And after a brief coffee break, we returned to the alleged proposal site, to shoot some frames as the sun went down.
